Two Weeks Back
First and foremost, I want to bring this to your attention:
I’ve followed this project through tweets and Ferrel’s write-ups on it, and I’m very interested in it. Now that it’s become available for public funding, I want to remind all of you how much good a few dollars can do for a project like this. Art of all types is being defunded by its previous patrons, both from federal sources as well as in the public schools, so when you see something that looks great and can afford to give a few dollars to help it come to fruition, you really should. If you have any questions about it, just send them to @ferreles; he’s always handy to answer them.
That aside, it’s been a good couple of weeks. I’ve gotten up to ilevel 494 (from around 460), and I’ll be able to afford the Shadow-Pan Assault Bracers tomorrow first thing (I’m about 16 VP away), so that’ll be another nice bump, since that’ll be the end of my last blue. I’ve done all the LFRs twice now and have at least a passing familiarity with each boss. I’m beginning to plan for raid nights, something I haven’t done literally in years, and I’m excited to be going – another something that I haven’t felt for years.
Beyond that, I’m just playing as I see fit. A week’s a lot of time during the summer, and I wonder if the school year will begin to reshape what I consider a priority. I hope not, because I’m enjoying everything I’m doing, and the should be’s are what have traditionally ruined WoW for me. Then again, perhaps the reduced play time will provide a finer sheen on the game, making the time I play more valuable and enjoyable. More on that later in the week, I guess.
For now, I’m satisfied with running the old raids, taking part in the new ones when I’m needed, leveling my pets, and running around Pandaria looking for treasures and rares. That’s right; all the nifty stuff you, dear reader, did months ago, I’m doing now, and it’s been a blast! I finally got Friends on the Farm, too, after giving in and feeding Fish several days in a row, since she apparently can’t be bothered to come to market to get help with quests and let you earn free rep.
Of course the two days after I hit Best Friend with her, she was in the market back to back. Ah well (;
So mostly, I’ve just been having fun, and I’m going into the school year with a positive attitude. I look forward to seeing what’s next.
P.S. Tobold, one of the most renowned game bloggers, thought my guild’s penchant for calling me Lambic was funny (which it is), and linked this, something he’s familiar with closer to his home. I posted it on my guild’s website. I hope it goes over well.
